Dr. Birinchi Kumar Sarma is currently working as Professor in the Department of Mycology and Plant Pathology, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.
He received BOYSCAST Fellowship of the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, in 2006 for post-doctoral research at University of California, Davis, USA.
He was honored with the award of ‘Associate’ of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, New Delhi, in 2010.
He was Visiting Researcher at Dalhousie University, NS, Canada under Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute - FTI Award, in 2018.
He published more than 80 research papers, edited 3 books and filed 3 patents.
